Grace's Therapy

Today Grace met with her Communication Specialist and she was so excited to see her! She wasn't able to come last week because of Grace being sick. her therapist was so happy that Grace has learned the signs "baby" and "book" and I didn't even remember to tell her she also knows how to play Peek-a-boo!!! DUH! Today they played with books and a doll so Grace could practice those signs, but the majority of the time was spent drawing with markers!!! Grace LOVED IT!! And her imitation was so good. Her therapist was so surprised at how well Grace was able to imitate her drawing up/down, side/side, and in circles! I was also surprised to see how well she was able to pick up the marker and draw with it! It was so sweet because in the beginning of the drawing project, Grace laid on her stomach and was drawing (how cute!). Then after that, she sat right on the huge piece of butcher paper and continued to draw. And she did a really good circle by herself! Nearing the end of the session, LeeSee (the therapist, Allyse) pulled out some stickers, and once again was so surprised at how well Grace was able to peel the stickers off after we started them for her! And then we helped her put them on the paper after she got to play with them for a minute or two. All in all, a great therapy day!
